When we started the trip I was nervous about crossing the Atlantic ocean and be at sea for a longer period of time. The closer we came, to the moment we had to cross the less certainI became about whether I could do this. It helped when we sailed from the Canary Islands to the Cape Verdean islands, which took us 8 days. This helped us prepare for the big cross. So by the time we left all my nerves had gone and when we arrived I didn’t mind to keep on sailing. Your parents will probably build up the distance just like mine so at a certain point you just get used to it. When you get used to life at sea, you do not feel sea sick and you find things you would like to do, this makes the time to pass really fast.
