The motivation to write this site is because there is not much information for children about sailing. There are lots of books, movies, interviews, and guides, about sailing around the world, all made by adults for adults, but never really for children.

Children have a special language, so they are not always understood by parents and vice versa. This means most information they get from parents, is made by adults and not always suitable for children. At least this happened in my case, and it had a huge impact on my trip.

I didn’t know what to expect and there was no one really who could answer my questions. Therefore I didn’t liked the trip at first. Experiencing living on a boat, sailing across the ocean, made me get used to the idea, so after a while I could enjoy the trip. I decided there is no need for others to take as long as I did to finally enjoy their travels. With this site I will try to answer all your questions so you can enjoy your trip from the very start. If – after reading – you still have some questions left, please email me and maybe I can help you out.

And for your parents… I give them tips, so they can help you to feel at home aboard, and to make this trip fun for you off course!!
